An update on Pancake Land’s condition. She informs me that she is now only 50% dead which is, if you’ll recall, better than the 75% dead she was last week. Leaps and bounds people. For all intensive purposes her physical symptoms are gone, the dizziness, the nausea, the unquenchable thirst. Now the mental effects are being felt in full force. The Pudding Brain Syndrome round two with New & Improved Memory Loss. Yes, that’s right, memory loss. But, not in the way that you are thinking. Pancake Land remembers who she is and where she lives, and most importantly who I am (seeing as how I do not want to be stabbed with a pair of Martha Stewart scissors for being an “intruder”), she has forgotten how to climb stairs. In the last week she has fallen up the stairs at least six times. Keep in mind that we live upstairs. And there are stairs leading into the bathroom and into her office. Needless to say that her toes and shins are starting to show a little wear and tear. So now she is having to relearn how to walk up stairs. Once again, drugs are scary. I think I hear Le Duke getting up and around so I should go pretend to work now. I’m sure I’ll write more later this afternoon. More soon. ~SC
