The Sensation Of Holding A Cat-less Bag.

January 21, 2010 by sandwichcontrol

First, before the cat is let out of the bag, I want to talk about my mucus issues. Just long enough to say that I am feeling much better, although I am a little anxious because my sweet baby is leaving for close to five days to go wine and dine in the city of sin with her mother and two best friends. It is a good thing that I have something to keep me occupied while she is gone or else I would just sit around and miss her.

It just so happens that her trip coincides with Teacher Sis closing on a house the Pancake Land and I are going to be living in. That’s right, for those of you who don’t know, Holliday Island is relocating out of Little Peddler’s house. So, while my darling and her posse are living it up in the land of slots and strippers, me and my posse will be painting and moving appliances. So with that said, anybody interested in being paid pizza and beer to paint the inside of a house this weekend should call me.

It will be not very hard work. Mainly just running a roller up and down a wall. Possibly painting some trim. Other than that, I think the moving party will be later on, maybe next weekend. I want to ensure that I don’t have all the fun. Pancake Land needs to be there to tell me where things need to go. The only thing worse than moving a piano is moving it twice.

Today is a normal work day followed by a little post-house-closing hangout at the new digs. Changing deadbolts and what not. Tomorrow I get to hang out over there all day while waiting around for the utility people to show up and turn everything on.

Please excuse my scatterbrainedness this morning. I am trying to balance work, a new house, and making corrections to tomorrow’s article for the City Wire all while posting an update for you. Ask anyone, I’m very very bad at multitasking.

Anywho, three cheers for new house. I have known about this for a while, but didn’t want to jinx it by talking about it on here. In hindsight, maybe talking about it would have made things go a little quicker. I’ll never know. I’ll post a “Need For New House” list pretty soon, so that you people with furniture in storage building who were looking to get rid of it can kill two birds with one stone by donating to the cause. Or the effect. Or maybe the affect. I have no idea.

Anywho, a little article touch up is needed. I’m a journalist, man. This man has a serious heart condition. Don’t worry, I’m a Doctor. More soon. ~SC
