What's Your Big Hurry?

Today is one of those days where I am in no rush to do anything. I call it “A Weekend”. I was considering apologizing for the tardiness of today’s post, but that would not be in the good spirit of the Weekend mentality. So, there.

Well, I have to say that my first article went over really well. Plus, traffic sent this direction rocked as well. I was particularly fond of the fact that they said I had a “thing” called Sandwich Control rather than a website or, God forbid, a blog. I do not like that word. It is a little too urban caveman for me. When I hear someone say that word it makes me think of backpacks with wheels and the people in airports who drag them behind them like a freshly slain deer. Hauling their only belongings back to their caves.

So I build elaborate scenarios around words that bother me. So shoot me. People are silly. Stephen Fry said it best when he said “We as humans, in an attempt to make our lives easier and more efficient, have taken something that was once three syllables, World Wide Web, and made it nine syllables, Double Ewe Double Ewe Double Ewe.” We as people are silly.

Hey, I am not pointing fingers here. I take a photograph of myself every day. That is ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that I instituted a life uniform. I’m not in any position to judge someone for dragging a bag behind them like a caveman or wearing a walker around their neck while riding a Rascal or using a silly word like blog. In a world where NPR is on Facebook, nothing seems surreal anymore.

Right now, I have to go cut Jenny’s head off because she will not stop whining. In all seriousness, I have to go shop for ingredients. Tonight is taco night.

I have updated 2010’s photos. Check them out. More soon. ~SC

  1. Paula says:

What do you mean ‘tonight is Taco night’? We weren’t invited. I am throwing down the gauntlet for Kelly. He declares that he makes the “world’s best tacos”. And, of course, I support him (I don’t have to cook, well, maybe I do ’cause I have to prep all the fixings). I will be freezing while I wait for your answer, Mr. Food Critic!!

  2. If there are any left, I’ll make you a plate. Don’t wait up, though. They go pretty fast in my house. Maybe we should have a taco day in the garden when it warms up.
