No Rhythm In Cymbals, No Tempo In Drums.

I would like to send one out to everyone at the BMAC who is away from their sweeties today.

This is the first time that Pancake Land and I have been together on St.Valentine’s Day, and like the rest of our “first” days I will begin this day by cleaning up after dogs and their impatient bladders and colons. Their Kung Fu is weak and ineffectual, like young girl.

So, the big question on everyone’s mind today is: What am I doing for Pancake Land in honor of St. Valentine’s Day?

Answer: Whatever she wants. Probably nothing. Well, that’s only half true. I am cooking for her. And not just some run of the mill meal either. I am making her tacos, and no you cannot come over for dinner. It would like me saying that I am buying her a box of chocolates and then you asking me if you could have one. I am also going to bake a cake, I think. Other than that, we will probably lie around on the couches with full bellies and watch Footloose or Fried Green Tomatoes or maybe Demolition Man.

I’m friggin’ tired. Last night, Pancake Land went to a burlesque show with the girls and Jenny, P.L.’s tiny rat terrier who has a separation anxiety and whines and shakes when P.L. is even in the bathroom, kept me up all night. Well, just until P.L. got home around 2:00am. Then P.L. thought it would be a fun game to tickle me. What she did not consider when she had this idea was simple math. Consider this problem:

Beers + Long Fingernails + Half Asleep Person ? A Good Time

I think she meant well, in that I want to torture you by tickling you kind of way. The way your Aunts and Uncles had when you were a little kid. What I got instead was more like being scratched non stop while being hypersensitive due to the fact that I was half asleep. It sucked. It finally ended after I, who was flailing wildly, headbutted her under the chin and somehow simultaneously landed a blow to my right eye socket with her scapula (shoulder blade). Fun times.

Yesterday, I resolved the networking issues we were having. Well, I think I did. Pancake Land’s computer was the one having the issues (Ugh, PC’s), and until she logs on to the network, the jury will still be out. I am debating about trying to log on for her while she is sleeping, but it has been a while since I did anything on a PC and I am afraid that I’ll destroy something important, like binary code.

Well, I am going to go start the prep for tonight’s dinner service. To cook a meal with love, especially the ridiculous amount of love that I have for Pancake Land, is going to be an all day-slow cooking affair. Happy St. Valentine’s Day. More soon. ~SC
