Last night, Pancake Land and I were trying to watch the last episode in season one of Angel and the disc somehow got scratched and refused to play properly. Keep in mind that no one has ever watched these dvds before. They are brand new. I blame the Playstation. Anyway, I decide that we should hook my lappy up to the television and make use of the $30 cable that I bought for just that purpose. What does the television say when I plug my lappy into it?
Asshole. So, we plug Pancake Land’s lappy into the television.
Still an asshole. It turns out that it is probably just the resolution that the television does not support, and not something ridiculous like not supporting any computers that run anything past Windows 98. Let’s hope, for the television’s sake, that it is just a resolution issue. That, obvisiously, can be, um, resolved.
If it turns out that my television is really an asshole and not just mentally retarded, then I am taking this cable back to the Death Star and I’m trading it for season two of True Blood. We finished season one about the time the second season started airing on HBO. So, needless to say, we have been waiting patiently to find out what happens to young Sookie Stackhouse. Did you know that the woman you wrote those novels lives here in Arkansas? She does. One can only assume that she is still churning them out. I have no idea. It is hard enough for me to keep up with a trashy vampire romance television show, let alone a series of trashy vampire romance novels. If you have forgotten, we just finished the first season of Angel which aired in 1999.
Oh, speaking of which, we actually got to finish watching the last episode on my lappy because of the superior quality of my dvd reader and its ability to ignore scratches. Yeah. Season two here we come. Yeah, White Chocolate gave the first two season to us for Grismas this past December. Once we get through those two seasons we will make the decision of whether to round out our collection with the rest of the series or just watch them via IMDB or Hulu or something. If all else fails, they have them on Netflix.
Anyway, I need to go get ready for work. If today is anything like yesterday, I will spend it standing on concrete rather than crawling around on it. The nicest part of yesterday was when the heaviest thing I lifted was a board of mugs. So nice.
And I’m off. More soon. ~SC
