Pizza Power.

So, I made 8 pizzas yesterday. Thanks to all of the people who popped in to eat a slice. We only have 3½ pizzas left. Hooray for pizza!

So, I would have had this post up earlier, but between wrangling kittens and talking to Dark Wombat on Skype, I’ve been relatively occupied since I got out of bed.

Cheyenne has currently taken up residence on my shoulder. All I can hear is sniffling and wheezing. Poor little girl. Where the rest of the kittens are, I have a vague idea, but am not for certain. It sounds like Arthur is in the KCC playing with the kitten matt dangling thingy. Where Betty and Dexter are, God only knows.

Anyways, back to pizza. I wanted to tell you about the pizzas, so if you want to try to recreate them at home, you can.

I started with whole wheat pizza crusts. They come in a two pack on the pasta aisle at WalMart*. Next, I add Paul Newman’s Tomato and Basil Bombolina red sauce. Spread sauce thinly and evenly across the crusts. Next, cover the sauce layer with baby spinach. Follow the spinach layer with a layer of pepperoni. Then, add a layer of Italian sausage. Follow the sausage layer with a layer of bacon. Next, add diced shallots, marinated artichoke hearts, salad olives, and banana peppers. Top the whole thing with extra sharp cheddar, feta, and mozzarella. For a little extra kick, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Bake according to the instructions on the crust’s packaging. I added about two minutes to the cook time to adjust for thickness of toppings and the opening/closing of the oven door.

I would have to say they were a success.

Well, let’s see what I’ve got on my agenda for today. Hmm… wash clothes. Okay. Take a shower. That’s probably a good idea. Eat with the fam at Teacher Sis’s house. Family dinner is always good. Do nothin’. Ah, my favorite.

So, yeah, pretty laid back day. Well, that was sort of the point of the four-day weekend. So, with that said, Ima go watch something on Netflix. More soon. ~SC
