Portrait Of A Man Coughing And Typing.

I cough a lot in the mornings. Probably because of all of the crap I breathe in during the day. Probably because of the years of smoking that coincided with the years of breathing in crap. Sometimes it feels like I have an anvil on my chest. Sure it’s a small anvil, but it’s still an anvil and it’s sitting precariously on my sternum. I’m sure the fact that I eat cereal with milk first thing in the morning, thereby producing all of the mucus I need for a cough-a-thon, doesn’t help me feel any better in the mornings either.

Yesterday, Taco Planet and I reached a big stopping point in the tile job at Le Duke’s new house. I don’t want to say we are finished, because we are not, but there is only a handful of little things left to be done, you know tile wise. Most of those things cannot be done until we get the bathtub in place. I can’t wait to say that I am completely done with this friggin tile job. Laying slate tile, although beautiful afterwords, is the most terrible tile to lay. The tiles do not have a uniform size, some are 29.8cm² and some are 31.2cm². Awesome. Try getting that to come out in a perfect grid. Plus, sometimes, for no reason, tiles will just crumble and fall apart. Sometimes beauty is not worth the trouble.

I slept for ass last night. I woke up a lot. I tossed and turned. I had bad dreams. I woke up sweating. And then, of course, I slept through like 45 minutes of my alarm. I don’t know about you, but I need something to cheer me up this morning. Perhaps a video montage of people being punched in the face. Ah, perfect.

Well, I feel better. Don’t you? Now I gotta go to work. More soon. ~SC
