Alright, alright. Good Friday morning to all. First thing off the bat this morning is my new article for the City Wire. It is up and you can read it here.

Second on today’s agenda, I want to mention that a few days ago Ojeda the Curve and I did a photo shoot. He sent me over the proofs and I am working on building a gallery page for them. I need to consult with him a little bit, but he is out of town this weekend, so it will probably have to wait until next week. It will be very difficult for me to wait until next week to show them off. The photos turned out amazingly kick ass. To satiate my urge to show them off, I’ll give you a sneak peek. Hold on while a find one. Okay, check it out:

Words cannot express how I much I love this photo.

It’s badass, isn’t it. There are so many good ones, it was hard to pick just one to show you. He sent me proofs of the photos in color and black & white and I struggled with which set to put in the new gallery. Do I put one or the other? Both? A mixture of both? After showing them to Pancake Land, she made a very good point.

She said “We are so used to seeing you in black & white, it is refreshing to see you in color.”

And that settled it. Color it is. I am so excited. I am hoping that this will be the beginning of long list of photo adventures together with Ojeda the Curve. He has been wanting me to shoot another round of Lampshades for a while, so hopefully I can pull that together pretty soon. Plus, I don’t know if I have ever mentioned it, but the 80s lampshade guy was just the first in a series of people called “The Loners” that I want to shoot. The hobo, the assassin, the person who can’t find their car in the parking lot, the night security guard. All loners. Plus, Ojeda the Curve mentioned some ideas he had for photos as well, so we have our work cut out for us.

Well, in order to get to the future shoots, we have to get through today’s work day first. God only knows what I’ll be doing today. Yesterday was exhausting. I slept for crap the night before that because I stayed late working on my article. I forgot a pack a lunch and so there was no inpouring of food energy, plus there was all of that fun manual labor that we did in a tiny concrete room with poor ventilation. Needless to say, my boogers are all bloody and crusty this morning. Mmm… drywall and fiberglass insulation. Yummy.

Well, my day being in mental limbo and all, I had better get ready for it. More soon. ~SC
