When There's Something Strange In Your Neighborhood…

What is going on? Last night I received a phone call from a robot pretending to be Asa Hutchinson who invited me to a Tea Party. Sorry robot, but I don’t sit down to tea with the parents of people who I have seen really fucked up on drugs and alcohol. Especially when said parents were once in charge of the DEA and are now a robot how could be potentially hell-bent on killing me. With lasers.

In addition to the drug sniffing robot calling me, I received an email from the owner of a restaurant for which I might have poopooed on a whole lot. In the email, he requested that I call him. Great. Now, in an attempt to be a professional journalist, I have to call him back. All I can hear in my head when I think about calling him back is the immortal words of Admiral Ackbar:

It's a trap!

For fun, I like to hear it in Babbylon Tim’s voice.

What a way to start a Wednesday. I think Andi the Numbers is going in to take the second part of her CPA test today. Maybe it’s tomorrow. Either way, send lots of good number related doogies her way today, and tomorrow for good measure.

Yesterday, I received the long awaited Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Pancake Land went to the post office and picked it up for me. It is so badass. Now my cookbook collection is complete! Well, for the time being anyway.

Well, I’ve got a lot to do today. There is work and then after work I have to take a shower, feed Pancake Land, and work on my article all before heading over to White Chocolate’s for Top Chef Masters. So much to do, so little time. I had better get started. More soon. ~SC

  1. Word to Me says:

Which restaurant are we getting a free meal at? Hmmmm? I hope it’s Gino’s so you can have a catfish sandwich! We’ll put lots of quarters in the jukebox!
