Shut Up Talkin To Me.

I hope everyone remembers that cartoon. It still makes me laugh.

Well, if I thought I was tired yesterday, then today I must be dead. I ended up staying up way past my bedtime in order to pick up Danny Royale, Prince of Lippincottonia and Cancon, from the airport and deliver him safely to Lippincottonia. He was supposed to arrive around 10pm, but, thanks to the wall of tornado-spewing thunderstorms, his flight got bumped back. He finally made it in around 11:30pm, which isn’t bad considering how easily they could have bumped the flight until this morning. He made it in safely and was delivered, per La Duchess’s request, without Le Duke knowing about it. When we got to the ranch I called La Duchess and had her make Le Duke get dressed and come out into the laundrette where his son, who had conveniently told his Dad that he couldn’t make it, was standing there waiting for him. Surprise! Le Duke was blown away with the surprise.

So, tonight is Le Duke’s big shindig for the Living Treasure award ceremony thing. It goes from 5:30 until 7:00 at Second Street Live. If you can’t find Second Street Live, just go ahead and punch yourself in the face. It’s on Second Street, Genius. Jeez. Anyway, I got roped into manning the sales station whilst Le Duke schmoozes. Fine by me. I hate schmoozing. Well, I hate forced schmoozing. If I get to schmooze of my own accord, then I’m fine with it. The long and short of it is that I am working the booth, so I’ll be there if you want to come and give me your money.

As far as work goes today, I have no bloody idea what I am going to end up doing. Maybe, shipping orders out. Maybe sipping coffee at a Bistro whilst eating ham and butter sandwiches. I need to make sure my house gets cleaned up enough for guests to crash here if they need to. God only knows who all is coming into town for this award thing. All I know is that, for some reason, this coffee is not doing its job. More soon. ~SC
