As you all know, August is birthday month and the special honor of today goes out to Kribbsy. So, with that, Happy Birthday Kribbsy. Be sure to wish him a happy one as well.

It is stupid hot here. It is hotter at night here than it is all day in Colorado. But I am sure people freeze to death in the Winter up there. Here you can wear shorts.

I am still trying to get my bearings. Our house is a mess from the explosion of suitcases and backpacks. Our cameras are chock full of photos taken by three different people that need to be sorted out. My article still needs to be fine tuned. Work is still waiting for me at 8am. The nagging in the back of my mind about working on my office has begun again. The kittens are bat-shit crazy. All this is happening and I can’t think of anything except taking a nap and about how I will not be taking one anytime soon. It is going to take a while for me to recover from this trip. If I could actually sleep in and get some rest, then it wouldn’t take long. But unfortunately, if I want to get anything done when it is not balls hot outside, I have to get up early.

Yesterday Le Duke’s new computer came in and I got a break from laying bamboo flooring and got to make that magic happen. Today: bamboo flooring. I would say “the last of the bamboo flooring”, but there are a few boxes left over that I might be using to do the floor in my new office. So, yeah. I will say that I am almost done with the flooring in Le Duke’s house. I have about 2 more meters of bamboo to lay and then I wait for the verdict on the upstairs studio and the garage apartment. Pray for carpeting. After I finish the floor today, I have a little bit more computer work to take care of and then home to finish this week’s article.

Well, I am going to chug some more coffee and hit the road. More soon. ~SC
