And On the Seventh Day He Rested Because Building Trees Is Exhausting.

Howdy Everyone! Isn’t it nice to be back? Despite losing four days worth of posts and the entire rebuilt 2009 Daily Photos gallery, I am glad to have the site back. Four days of rambling is a small price to pay for having to not rebuild everything from scratch. The lost gallery is easy enough to rebuild, so no sweat there. That will come later, though. This weekend, I have bigger fish to fry.

Tonight I have been ask to be the photographer at the joint Sweet 16 birthday party for Prop Ninja and Operation A (Operation B’s little sister). Oh, the opportunity to hangout with a bunch of screaming teenagers singing Karaoke in a caffeine and sugar induced frenzy and subsequently capture that moment on digital media thus procuring a goody bag of blackmail material for later down the line. Who could pass that up? Not me. Plus, I get cake. I would say something about cake “sweetening the deal”, but I’ll refrain.

Yesterday, having already made the post the night before, I had nothing to do but twiddle my thumbs and watch trailers in the prescribed amount of time usually designated for weekday posting. In this trailer-watch-a-thon, I saw something so mind-blowing that I had to watch it twice. Since most of you are way more innernet savvy than I am, you’ve probably already seen this. Regardless, behold the wonders that is Cowboys & Aliens:

Amazing, right? Pancake Land and I have both agreed to see it in the theater, which usually translates into “We’re too lazy to leave the house, so we’ll just watch it when we can rent it from Amazon”. We agreed, we didn’t promise, silly.

So, after the week from Hell, I decided to blow off hanging out the crew in celebration of Jackie the Mick’s birthday (Sorry Jackie) in order to lay around, watch the final two episodes of season 5 of Bones, eating white chili burritos and Reese’s peanut butter cups until I lost consciousness. At some point I built a tree for the celebrating of Grismas, but that part of the evening is kind of a blur. I just remember that is was exhausting. That’s where the title of today’s post comes from. Me being exhausted and desiring a day of rest.

Well, I’d love to stay and chat, but if I am going to do stuff today, then I’ve got to go take a shower. Maybe I’ll Waltz Matilda (I’ll explain later) at some point as well. In the mean time, all of you Waits fans are dying for it now, so here:

More soon. ~SC
