I would like to begin this Grismas Eve edition of the post by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Blatzy. Be sure to wish him one as well.

Regardless of holidays, it is still Friday and that means my new article is up on the City Wire. You can read it by clicking here: Booray for Bollywood.

Last night was a good one. It started out by receiving an email from Mike Tango, my editor at the City Wire, expressing his gratitude for my work at the publication and how he is proud of how much I have grown as a writer in the past year. It is was very sentimental and kind, things I would not normally describe my editor as, so I took it to be sincere and it touched my heart in a very manly, and not gay, way.

After I finished reading that email, I had received another email concerning the Rude Boys photos. Remember them? Here, have a refresher course. Anyway, at that time when we took the update of that photo, I had sent both photos to this website called Young Me/Now Me. You know, for grins. I hadn’t heard anything about it, and for all intents and purposes I had forgotten that I sent it to them. Anyway, they emailed me last night. They inquired about the photos and wondered if we had a story about us that we would like to share. They said the story didn’t have to have anything to do with the photo, and it was better if it didn’t. They also mentioned the possibility of publishing them in their upcoming book. Hot damn. That’s totally cool. I am not going to get my hopes up, but it would be cool to have that event immortalized elsewhere other than my silly website, so yeah. We have just got to think of a story about me and Zaxxon. Any ideas?

Speaking of Zaxxon, we had a very small secret Grismas here at Holliday Island last night. The Rev. Dark Wombat, Zaxxon, Back Alley Trey, and Sweet Bread all came over to exchange gifts. I wanted to get Zaxxon and RDW together because Z leaves on Monday and RDW will probably not be back from the fam’s before then, so I wanted to be sure they got to see each other. I mean they do live 13,646km (8,479mi) apart and, somehow, Arkansas is right in between them. I think. Geography is not my strong suit. Anyway, don’t be butt hurt, you little nellies, because I didn’t invite you over. I arranged this event so that it did not spoil anyone’s Grismas presnents. I let this group open their gifts and swore them to secrecy so as to not spoil it for the rest of you. On a note that probably should filed under “Too Much Information”, I have already received reports back that some of the gifts have to turned out to be too small and cannot be used by the recipients of said gift. Good to know.

On that note, I am going to go to the gas station to buy some milk for the baking of Andi the Number’s Great Grandmother’s recipe for sugar cookies. I can’t just sit around and waltz Matilda all day. There are parties (read as presnents) to prepare for. So with that, I’m off. Maestro, a little mood music, if you please.

Happy Grismas. More soon. ~SC

We should totally recreate some pictures of us and create our own book…
