When the Trickster Starts A-poking.

Hello, there. Isn’t it great to be alive? I mean, it is Friday, two weeks from presnents, school is out for a month, there is coffee, and I didn’t die in an electrical fire (more on that in a minute), what more could you ask for? An new article perhaps. Well then, boy do I have a deal for you. My new article is up on the City Wire, you can read it by clicking here: Shazam!

Yesterday was a huge and exhausting day. I rocked my final exams. Which, strangely enough, I scored an 88% on both of them. Overall, I think that I finished both of my classes with A’s. I would like to thank Teacher Sis for “acquiring” my dry erase board for me. Without it I never would have been able to do the Trig homework, and then, subsequently, crush my enemies and see them driven before me and hear the lamenting of their women. I was very torn inside about Trig. Part of me wanted to hold on to the “Math is stupid and I hate it” philosophy, but part of me really enjoyed this class. It was a terrible feeling. I actually felt guilty for selling me textbook. I know, right? Luckily, my professor came up with a pretty clever solution to my moral dilemma. Sell my textbook, get money for it, take $5 of that money, and buy the previous edition of the textbook. His Kung Fu is still greater than mine. It will be a little while longer before the student becomes the master.

After my finals, I headed over to the Letterpress shop to get to work at the Open House. The turn out was awesome. I printed and made paper hats, and explained printing and making paper hats, for four solid hours. At some point while I was printing, K pointed out that I looked like Eric Gill in profile. I think maybe it was the paper hat. And the beard. And the glasses. And the nose. I am waiting for the photo that K took of me, but in the mean time here is what Eric Gill looks like for those of you who do not know:

Ooh, ooh, K just sent me the photo she took of me. Give me a second and I’ll let you compare and contrast…

Pretty scary, no? Anyway, if you don’t know who Eric Gill is, click here to read about him.

After the Open House, I did a little grocery shopping and, while I was out, picked up the last (I think) grismas presnent. There are five presnents that have not arrived yet, but they are bought and paid for. So they count. But that’s it, I’m done. I might have to buy one more, but I’ll just have to wait and see. I just need to wrap them. Ugh…

For some reason, the power here on Holliday Island has been flickering a lot. Like to the point of shutting the clock on the stove off. I found this note from Pancake Land on my desk this morning explaining the power flickering was killing the innernet connection and making smells come from the outlets. I should probably call someone to handle this. I’m going to do that while you go watch this thing.

So, Teacher Sis sent me this last night and I couldn’t help but pass it on:

I can’t decide if they are serious or not. Whatever the case, that guy freaks me out. Anyway, I’ve got to go to work. More soon. ~SC
