Thank you, Jeezus, it’s Friday. We made it. Hey, that means my new article is up on the City Wire. You can read it by thinking very hard about tacos. Didn’t work? Try clicking here instead: Saucy.
I survived the Thursday. I didn’t stop doing stuff from 8am until 5:15pm when I got home. Then I had an hour to eat and go back for lab. It was the first lab, so it was easy. I was home by 8:00pm. My professor got the class to unite under the banner of “not wanting to be here until 9:40pm” and we all agreed to meet at 5:30 rather than 6:50, thus assuring that we’ll be getting out of there earlier. Hooray for getting home earlier! It just means that I only have a 30 minute break between bookmaking and microbiology lab now, but it will be fine.
Taco Planet sent me something interesting yesterday. Apparently, our beloved Tom Waits, in collaboration with his record label (ANTI Records), is releasing a limited edition chapbook called Seeds on Hard Ground as a fundraiser to help fight homelessness. Awesome. Who do I love? Tom Waits. What do I love? Books. Put them both together, and what do you get? A love fest. You can read more about it on Tom’s website. Unfortunately, they are sold out already here in the States. However, my dear friends who live elsewhere, it is not sold out in the U.K., or Germany, or Europe. I guess Tom has decided that England and Germany aren’t in Europe, but whatever. They are available there. You can click here to buy them (for me for Grismas next year). Yeah, apparently, the rest of the World is sold out as well. Just Europe, Germany, and the U.K. have books left. So get them quickly.
Well, I decided that I deserved to sleep until 7am today. So, now I have to go to work. Studio stuff today. Making fish plates and listening to David Sedaris. This weekend is a an all food-all weekend weekend. I am going to do nothing but make food, eat food, and write about eating food. Well, maybe not on here. I am going to try not to leave my house until I get a couple of articles written. That’s the plan anyway. We’ll see if I stick to it. Anyways, have a wonderful day and don’t forget to buy me a presnent (see above). More soon. ~SC
