It Sunday again. The weekend is almost over. Still, nothing’s better or worse with the current situations. I am starting to feel overwhelmed. I think the fact that school starts for me on Tuesday and then, a week later, we leave for our vacation, has added to the sense of overwhelmedness. So much to do to prepare, so little time. I have a week to get a lot done. I have professors to talk to. I have three articles to write. I have to get my school supplies ready. I have to teach Back Alley Trey the ropes of caring for our house. I have to start getting ready for Mexico. I have to find a cure for cancer. I have to help Operation B find peace. In addition to the guilt that I acquired growing up Catholic, I somehow acquired a sense of being responsible for everything around me. Which is stupid.

When I got up this morning, I went about my normal morning routine. Feed the animals. Make the coffee. And so on. I always check on the dogs in the back yard to see if they are okay and this morning, I was greeted with a weird sight. The back gate was wide open and Nami was napping leisurely in the alley. What the shit?! From what I can tell, the wind blew the back gate open. You see, we have a double back gate. One panel opens and closes normally and one panel is held stationary by a rod the goes down into the ground. The rod was apparently not in the ground in the correct position and the heavy winds last night, pushed the stationary panel to the point of releasing the mobile panel. I assume, at this point, the girls went on a little adventure about the neighborhood. I have no proof of this, but I can assume that, if I were a dog confined to a back yard, and freedom to roam was granted to me without my father’s watchful eye being upon me, that I would go explore my surroundings. Of course, when I found them, Stoobs was sleeping in her house, being the good girl, and Nami was napping in the alley, being the bad girl. Anyways, they’re fine and the gate has been properly closed. It was just a strange way to start the day.

I think that today we are going to surprise G-Man with a cookout. A little feast before he loses his appetite from the cancer treatments. This just means that I get to man the grill. Mmm… grilled meats and veggies.

I don’t have anything really exciting or funny to share today. I am supposed to go help hang the show at Second Street Live and then off to the cookout. At some point, I have to go to WalMart* to by supplies. Both for the cookout and for everyday life. Let me see if I can find something ridiculous to share with you to brighten your day. Hold on…

How about some Harry Potter fan fiction written by a 16 year old Goth female and read, dramatically, exactly how it was written, by an adult male? Okay then:

Oh, and then there’s always this:

This is the back of my head at this most recent Playaz Ball.

Yeah. That’s about it for today. I’ve got to go make a grocery list and get to shopping. More soon. ~SC
