Quick, Grab Some Eggs, Bread, and Milk.

Hey, Happy February everybody.

Pancake Land, White Chocolate, and I had a humorous discussion about why people around here freak out at the possibility of bad weather. And they freak out, not in a normal way, but in totally insane ways. For example, they don’t stock up on canned goods or bottled water. Oh, no, they stock up on eggs, bread, and milk. The only rational train of thought we could come up with was this one:

“The forecast is saying snow and ice. This shit just got real. Somebody make me some French toast.”

Speaking of snow and ice, school got canceled for today. Hooray! No microbiology test for me until Thursday. I received the email notification from the school about half an hour ago. Somehow, though, I don’t believe it. It feels like someone is playing an elaborate prank on me so that I don’t take my microbiology test and then subsequently fail the class. Jerk. But despite my suspicions, there are two emails from the university telling that classes are canceled. I guess I’ll just have to have a little faith that school is actually closed. Now the real question, do I go to work, instead?

Ooh. That’s a tough one. On one hand, I have a ton of stuff that needs to be done here at the house, not to mention the studying for the microbiology, but on the other hand, work pays me money. I might call Le Duke and see what he thinks.

I wish I wasn’t so awake at this point. The decision would be a very easy one if I were still really sleepy. This is what my sleepy brain would tell my body:

“Doesn’t the bed look awfully comfy? You should check it out to make sure.”

It is a very good thing that I’m not sleepy. I wouldn’t get back out of bed today. The combination of warm bed and the sound of rain, there’s no way to avoid the all day bed-a-thon and then nothing gets done. Not work or chores or studying. Nothin’.

Oh, I almost forgot, Dave sent me this the other day and I wanted to share it with you. It is song of love. And sandwiches. Enjoy:

Well, I’m going to get this post published before the innernet crashes. I also need to find out if I’m hiking in the rain to work or not. Wish me luck. More soon. ~SC

It’s not raining per se. It’s raining dippin’ dots.

The bread is just a mechanism.
