The Exhaustion That Follows Doing Nothing.

February 11, 2011 by sandwichcontrol

I’m so tired this morning. I slept for doodoo last night. I’m not really awake yet, so bear with me as I fumble my way through this post.

Okay, I think it is Friday and that means my new article is up on the City Wire. One big correction (that I’ll be making on there next week) is that Momo never owned or operated the Silk Road. It is and has always been owned and operated by Isa and Elizabeth Momand. Sorry about that. Anyways, click here if you want to read the article: Gooey Cheese and click here if you don’t want to read the article: Slimey Cheese.

That settled, we can talk about yesterday. Pancake Land was pretty much down all day with a migraine, which left me to my own devises. Needless to say, I had already burned through the last 60 pages of Chamber of Secrets before she got up, so there was a serious need of stuff to do. So, I baked. A lot. I made 37 cookies. In addition to the cookies, and while a batch of them was baking, I decided to use the muffins mixes that I’ve had for a few weeks. So, I also made banana muffins and oatmeal muffins. Unfortunately, I had used up all the nuts that I had in making the cookies, so the banana muffins are sans nuts, which made Pancake Land raise an eyebrow. After the baking extravaganza, luckily, Teacher Sis (who was suffering from cabin fever) came in to town to go to the library and volunteered to bring me Prisoner of Azkaban.

Before diving head first back into the world of Hogwarts, I kept my word to Pancake Land and played an hour of Katamari Forever. This game is so frustrating. If I manage to beat the level, I always score like a 19% or something and then the King of the Cosmos makes fun of me and tells me that I’m not good at anything and that my dick is ugly. It is not a very kind game. I miss the old Katamari. I think that I am going to break down and buy the older games and switch back to the PS2 for a while. I think skipping the middle games has messed up my Katamari rolling doojies. It is like if I watched Back to the Future and then just skipped the second one and went straight to Back to the Future III. I would have missed the whole “Your kids grow up to be assholes” thing. It is time to dial it back a notch and catch up on everything that I missed.

Speaking of dialing it back, Curly Bill just sent me the most amazing video ever. The email read “What if John Hughes had directed the Legend of Zelda?” Do enjoy:

Yeah. I told you. Anyways, I think that is a pretty good note to leave on. Have a wonderful Friday. More soon. ~SC
