We Come From the Land of the Ice and Snow.

Hey, it’s cold here. Like stupid cold. I think I heard that the wind chill was -11°F. Not Celsius, but Fahrenheit. How cold does your wind blow? Well, ours goes to eleven.

The view from my front window is one of ice. One great big sheet of it. School got canceled again today, not that that does me any good since I don’t have class today, but I thought you might like to know. Luckily, Le Duke gave me yesterday off. I did a bunch of chores. I made beans and cornbread. I read almost all of Sorcerer’s Stone. It was nice to have a random free day to help with the playing of the catch up.

Since we got back, I’ve been trying to get my head back in the game, but there’s just so many little things to do. Yesterday allowed me to get some of those things done.

Today though, well, the break is over. Today is Wednesday and we work on Wednesday. I would ride the trike if I thought I’d get any traction whatsoever, but it looks like it is going to be an “on foot” kinda day. That’s cool. It’s actually ice cold, but who’s counting?

Well, I’ve got to go start getting bundled up for my 1.3km hike across the frozen tundra. Wish me luck. Hey, 2011 is starting to look up. More soon. ~SC
