You know that feeling when you go to bed and the world around is gray and windy and leaves spin around on the ground, and then you go to sleep, and when you wake up, the world is white with a thick blanket of snow? You know what I’m talking about? It’s like you slept through something really important. Well, that’s how I feel this morning. There is somewhere between 6-7cm (2-3in) of snow on the ground right now and it is still falling and is forecast to fall until 6pm. The temperature outside is at today’s high of -2°C (28°F) and it slowly be dropping as the day wears on.

It is a good thing that I have to work today. Le Duke is out of town and therefore I am in charge of the studio and its subsequent not burning down. Its cool. I don’t mind going to work when I’m my own boss. When I’m in charge, no one hassles me about taking breaks for second breakfast, first or second lunch, or for leaving early due to inclement weather.

I really just need to run over to check on the dogs, the tiles I made Monday, the bank accounts, and paperwork stuff needed for our trip to Philly, which is sneaking up on us. Jeez, we leave next Tuesday. It really is sneaking up on us. I just hope I get my Harry Potter books in time for our trip. It looks like I’ll be carrying a lot of books with me on this trip.

Speaking of Harry Potter, Pancake Land sent me this yesterday:

I’m pretty impressed at how precisely everything in her apartment is placed just out of pole dancing range. That must taken hours of very devoted arranging to reach such precision. Or maybe a lot of full contact pole dancing happened and the items were arranged over weeks and months. Either way, I’m impressed by her dedication to her art.

Boy howdy, it is that time again. I’m going to go trek to work in the snow. I’m going to try and document it and put it back up here when I get to work. We’ll see it I can swing it. Anyways, wish me luck. More soon. ~SC
