The Sewage Slide.

Hey. It’s Friday, I think. If that statement holds true, then my new article is up on the City Wire. If you would like to read it, click here: We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat. If you wouldn’t like to read my article, then click here: Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Get Back Into The Water. If that doesn’t give you the jibblies, I don’t know what would.

So, Taco Planet sent me this amazing video last night. It is a cover of “Green Grass” by Tom Waits done by two young ladies on ukulele and guitar. Enjoy.

Yesterday was pretty exciting. I spent most of my day triking all over campus handing out postcard invitations to next week’s “Book Party”. Oh, I almost forgot why I titled this post the way that I did. Before my invitational, I went to a very very brief Microbiology lecture. Dr. A pretty much just told us what to focus on for the test. In reference to the Powerpoint presentation, he said that needed to focus on the Nitrogen cycle slide and the sewage slide. Something about that phrasing just struck me as hilarious. Then, he dismissed us so that he could resume doing whatever it is that Dr. A does when he is not in class. That it is when I went off to deliver invitations. I also got the case finished for one of my copies of the Alphabook that we are doing. I’ve got to come up with another binding for my second copy and actually build it before next Thursday so that I can show it at the Book Party.

So, it is a sad, and yet strangely happy, day here on Holliday Island. By the time most of you read this, Nigel, Ophelia, and Penelope will be gone. It is time for them to be returned to the Humane Society to be chipped and clipped and sent off to their permanent homes. As my reward for this, I get to go into work late today. So, I have like two hours to kill until the Humane Society opens. What to do? I will probably follow the kittens around and take photos of them. Pancake Land has been fretting about not having any good ones of Ophelia, so maybe I’ll try and ease her worried mind a little. We’ll see. I do need to go buy some stuff for my secret dish that I’m taking to the crawfish boil tomorrow. Hrm… I don’t know.

Anywho, that’s all I’ve got for you today. Have a great day. More soon. ~SC
