I’ve Got The Bread, But Not The Butter…

Today is or was, depending on where you are in the time warp, my birthday. I spent it by visiting the grave of a man who, upon dying, willingly sacrificed himself to become a God in order to protect Japan. I kid you not, that’s what it says at the “Treasure House” in the temple at Nikko. When they build a shrine to me, there had better be stuff like that written about me or else somebody’s ass is gonna be haunted by my fire breathing god spirit.

This where the photos begin. First up, I managed to take a photo of the ramen place we ate at last night. Literally translated, it is named Skull and Crossbones Ramen:

In case you were wondering, there’s no exit at Kasukabe Station:

Then we reach our destination of Nikko Station to await Nurse Fujita who was going to leading our adventure to visit the grave of Tokugawa.

Up first, the main gate:

Then there was the traditional No Evil Monkeys:

And of course the Sleeping Cat:

Then it was the man himself:

Also, please don’t throw coins into the Sacred Spring:

In true DW fashion:

Around this time, the afternoon was making us wish for coffee. So, why not ask the boss for some?

In case you were running low on ions, you should chug a Pocari Sweat:

I’ve taken tons more photos, but they’ll have to wait.

Tomorrow/Today it’s Tokyo time. Wish us ruck. More soon. ~SC
