I Danced With The Devil.

Yesterday started with me getting a call from Nicky the Cook informing me that Lewis’s Family Restaurant was offering the “Inferno Menu” starting at noon. I could only assume that that meant they took the regular menu and made everything really, really spicy and delicious. So, I sent Furious Jessy a message informing her of this news. And from there I made plans to have lunch with her and Jackie the Mick. We didn’t find out until later that you had to actually request the “Inferno Menu”, but we managed just fine without it. Let me rephrase that. We managed to order just fine without it. Jackie ordered a regular burger because he is not a glutton for punishment and didn’t want to spend the rest of the day suffering. Jess and I, however, are gluttons for punishment and we ordered the grilled chicken breast sandwich version of the Inferno Burger. What we got was a chicken breast rubbed with either Tony C’s or straight cayenne, topped with pepper jack and spicy Cajun bacon, piled high with sautéed onions and jalapenos, and dressed with their signature mayo made from the heart of darkness of Mount Doom, all on top of a homemade bun. Behold the glory:

I’m going to agree with FJ on this one, and say this is definitely in the top 3 spiciest things I’ve ever eaten. If you can eat it fast enough, you can finish it. But once the mucosal response begins, you’re screwed. These are a few photos FJ managed to snap before her hands got completely covered in the greasy evil:

After lunch, I spent the rest of the day eating Tums and trying not to explode. It was awesome. Totally worth it. Why? Because that sandwich was also one of the top 5 most delicious things I’ve ever eaten.

In other news, Pathfinder got bumped to tonight because the people at the dialysis center are trying to kill Back Alley Trey and we decided that he should get some rest instead of coming to play. So, Pathfinder tonight.

Instead of playing last night, the Rev. Dark Wombat and I headed to WalMart* where we saw this bit of glorious Americana:

Today is a normal Saturday for me. Clearance shopping and probably lunch on assignment. Before I leave you though, I’ll give you a new video by my Math girlfriend ViHart. Enjoy:

That’s it for me this morning. I’m off to see the wizard. More soon. ~SC
