Uh-Oh.

We have a serious problem.

So, apparently, right after the match on Saturday, the board of directors at West Bromwich Albion sacked our manager, Steve Clarke. Yeah. They let him go after their fourth consecutive loss. Claiming:

“This club’s track record proves we do not take such decisions lightly, having only enforced a change in this position three times in approximately 14 years. But with key games coming thick and fast, we felt it was important we acted now to give the club the best possible chance of a successful outcome this season.

“Our player wage bill is the highest in the club’s history and we feel we have built a squad capable of being very competitive in the Premier League. We now begin the search to find a new head coach who will work within our existing structure, which has been in place for the past six years. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Steve and Kevin for their efforts over the past 18 months. We wish them and their families well for the future.”

I hate to remind you guys of this, but he led West Brom to victory against Man United. At Old Trafford. Something that WBA hasn’t in over 30 years.

That is why it is my belief, that this is bullshit. Something bigger is going on here. This isn’t about losing 4 matches in a row. This is about something else. And who sacks there manager in the last few few weeks of the first half of the season? Why not wait until the Winter break? That’s when players are being switched around. Oh, that’s right. You want us to face three matches in the next ten days on the shoulders of the assistant manager. Why? So, we’ll break the losing streak of course.

Turns out, that Tottenham Hotspur is in the same boat as me. Maybe we’ll win the match on Boxing Day. Or maybe it’ll be a giant shit show of two clubs without managers running around like chickens with our heads cut off.

(heavy sigh)

In other news, I have had my worrying mind eased concerning a different subject. I had begun to worry that I wasn’t ever going to receive Day One of my Holiday Bullshit from Cards Against Humanity. Turns out that almost everyone playing this little game has received their days out of order. Thanks USPS! I can’t blame the postal service. It was actually a combination of things being sent from different locations and the flux of winter storms that mixed everything up. But who cares? I still get presnents in the mail.

Here is what day three is supposed to relate to.

Today, I get the day off.

Finally.

I plan on spending the day doing me stuff. Reading, going to the gym, making kimchi, listening to “Dyers Eve” at full volume (11), and not being responsible for anyone who isn’t of the legal drinking age.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
