Or whatever.

That there? Oh, that’s the cashew butter that killed my pa. No, not that Bajoran kind of Pah. The paternal kind. And not really even that. I’m actually referring to my food processor, but just trying to be clever. And, apparently, failing.

No, seriously. I killed my food processor yesterday making cashew butter. The good news is that it was 99% done pureeing the ever-loving-shit out of those cashews when it died. The bad news is that it died and now I can’t make cashew butter until I buy a new one. I am considering biting the bullet and buying a real Quisinart. The fancy one with all of the different blades and whatnot.

After I killed my food processor, keep in mind that happened around 1pm and I had already been doing a ton of stuff, I then headed to Teacher Sis’s house to begin the pickling adventure. Cut to four hours later, we had made pickled spicy asparagus, garlic cloves, carrot relish, French green beans, and spicy cauliflower. Add those to the cashew butter and now the Pickle Fridge is brimming with Grismas presnents for you.

After pickling, it was Derby Fun Night 2014. But I’ll get to that in a minute.

You may have noticed that this post is coming a little later than usual. It is because I’ve been working on things to show you.

And because I watched the last episode of the Colbert Report.

Okay, things to show you. I added a new photo to this year’s General Photos. The link should be on the righthand side of the page under “New & Updated”.

I finally got around to going though the handful of photos I took at the Underground Ink Holiday Open House this year. I just put them up on the Flickr, so check them out.

Now, back to the trampolines. My camera got passed around quite a bit last night. And I of course got left to dig through the aftermath. We ended up with some pretty good shots, though. They are also up on the Flickr. Things like this:

As for today, I am pretty exhausted from a week’s worth of leveling up my workouts. Just for the record, I can now deadlift 155 pounds (70.3kg) which is how much I weighed before I started the workouts. I can deadlift my out-of-shape self. Which is weird.

I plan on resting most of the day. Because tomorrow is going to be a long day. I’ve got a workout at 7am (which you are welcome to come to, just let me know), a Grismas party at 3pm, and Pathfinder at 8pm. So, resting today is a must. Tomorrow I’m going to be running the gauntlet both physically and mentally.

On that note, I’m off to take a nap.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC

Good work on the deadlift. You and Jackie and the fact that I was turning into my dad motivated me to start going to the gym a couple of months ago. I’m a non-conformist just like all my friends!

Tell errbody down there Merry Xmas from Uncle Chu.

Oh man!! I had that Metallica shirt when I was in junior high! So good to see it again! You should grow your hair out again so people can tell you how much Cliff looked like you!
