Lift.

Deadlift.

It’s a weight lifting thingy.

Anyway, the only reason I mention it, is because yesterday I broke my personal record and lifted 160 pounds (72.6kg). Ten more pounds and I’ll be able to deadlift myself. Yeah. Think about that.

If you want to see Hugh Jackman deadlift 435 pounds (197.3kg), click here.

Anyways, yesterday was productive. Other than breaking my personal record, I printed two more postcards. As seen here:

Birthday Cards

I also spent a good portion of the day acquiring more quotes to print on cards from people and brainstorming other ideas.

I also got my shipment of linoleum, linoleum knives, and a 6 inch soft rubber brayer. Once I got done printing cards, I washed my hands, and set about to attach some lino to blocks. Once I got a couple of them glued together, I trimmed the excess lino off, and put them under weights.

The linoleum is grey. I just want to call it “rhinoleum” for some reason. No clue why I am so amused by that.

I am so excited to break in these new knives. They are really, really sharp. I’ve got order myself a bench hook to hold my blocks in place. Or else I’m going to end up sticking a linoleum knife into my hand. Again.

Hold on, I’m going to do that right now…

Ordered.

Let’s see, what else did I do yesterday?

Oh, right. I nearly forgot to drink a cup of coffee after breakfast. Yeah, about 10:30am I was really sleepy and starting to get grumpy. Then, it dawned on me that I’d forgotten the best part of waking up. Luckily, I caught in time, before the whole day was ruined.

Today is Thorsday. That means I have loads of things to do. If you aren’t doing anything tonight, you should come to Wheels In Motion (in Van Buren) at 8:30pm for hometown scrimmage night with the River Valley Roller Girls. Team Fire will be taking on Team Ice. I am going to attempt to be there taking photos. For a little while anyway. That’s awfully close to my bedtime. And that’s if I get done with work in time.

Speaking of working. It is time to get gross.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
