The Characteristics of a Shape Define the Rules of the Shape.

But the rules of the shape define the shape itself.

Let me wish Stix a very Happy Birthday really quickly, and then we can get back to geometric theory. Be sure to wish him one as well.

Think about that.

The relationships between the angles and the sides of, say, a triangle, define the rules that govern triangles. But the rules defineĀ all triangles.

For example, the relationship between an angle, the side opposite the angle, and the hypotenuse, of a right triangle, defines the rule of Sine. But the rule of Sine then dictates that all right triangles ever, to infinity and beyond, must also demonstrate the same relationship or else they cannot considered right triangles.

Whoa.

That’s how I spent my Friday night.

I bet you didn’t have nearly as much fun as I did.

Guess what I didn’t do yesterday. If you guessed spend 5 hours digging through derby photos, then you would be correct.

I did, however, finally create the 2015 General Photos page. Go check it out.

I also spent the majority of the day working on a design for a new poster. I thought stencils would make my life easier. I thought wrong. The reason I spent most of the day designing a poster, was because I did it the hard way. I used a pencil, a ruler, some stencils, and a lot of erasing to design a poster backwards on a block of linoleum. Linoleum that I had cut to the wrong size. Luckily, it was cut too big. Now it is the right size.

I did finish the poster designed, though. I had just started to Sharpie in the text, so that I can erase all the extraneous pencil marks, when I realized how tired I was and stopped to grab some dinner. I’ll finish the inking in, erase the pencil marks, and start carving later this weekend.

I also did a little preliminary press set-up for a few ornaments that’ll be printed first.

Today is the free workout at the Forge. I’ll probably see some of you there. After the 7am workout, I’ll be taking my Level 2 exam. Hopefully, when next we speak, I’ll be Level 3.

Wish me luck.

After that, West Brom faces off against Tottenham Hotspur. It’s gonna be ugly. Boing Boing Baggies!

Tonight, Larry Jenkins will climb upon the steed of glory and ride, ride, ride. Oh, and nachos. Glorious nachos.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
