That killed my Pah.
And it was so strong.
Yesterday was a much less angry day.
I mean, I was still angry. I was just less angry than I was on Monday.
Subsequently, my productivity dropped as well.
Nonetheless, I got a bunch done yesterday.
Most of it was tedious normal life stuff. Paying bills, buying groceries, etc.
I did get to spend a good deal of the day at the studio. I got the furniture-previously-known-as-the-record-cabinet squared away and stocked with prints.
I got a few of my prints punched, riveted, and hung on the wall.
And then I printed this gem…
This one was a lot of fun to make. Maybe my intention was clearer or the design I wanted actually came out the way I had it in my head or something. Whatever it was, I was very pleased with it. I don’t normally push a double printing run on a card in the same day, but I was so excited about this one that I just couldn’t resist. The humidity and temperature cooperated and allowed me to not fuck it up. For this, and many other things, I am thankful.
Today I am going to attempt to punch and stamp these beauties. Possibly get one in the mail.
I am hoping to have a brainstorming session as well. Get some new ideas in the book. A little fresh blood.
Unfortunately, my brainstorming team is not around these days, so it’ll just have to be me this time. Stranded at the gas station of creativity and forced to use the self-service pump.
So it goes.
I also plan on continuing the tidying and organizing of the studio.
Other than studio time and work, my day is pretty light. Tonight is a much needed trip to see Jitterbug for an hour of quiet.
So, I guess I’d better a move on. These push-ups aren’t going to do themselves.
What? Aren’t we doing phrasing any more?
See ya’ tomorrow.
More soon. ~SC
