A story of how Christmas got in the way of a good time.
Do you know what’s really dumb?
Everything being closed on Christmas.
This is why Grismas is a better solution to the holidays.
I had most of the day free yesterday. I had planned on working on my type cabinet when it wasn’t raining a bunch. Like it is supposed to do today. I quickly discovered that I had no paint stripper to get the old paint off of the cases and cabinet. And no where was open. Because Jesus hates capitalism.
I also couldn’t buy a salad anywhere other than Denny’s. Three days of nothing but meat and cheese trays has got me feeling a little heavy around my middle.
I scrounged some frozen soup that had mostly veggies in it and had that for dinner. Then, I crashed super early. Because dealing with people is exhausting. I mean, I wear myself out just fine by myself. Add a bunch of other people into the mix and I’m lucky to still be up come 9pm.
Today I am hoping to get a bright start on the day and buy myself some stripper. I might be able to get a couple of cases done before it starts torrentially raining. Let’s hope.
Tonight there’s a small gathering in Praetoria. If this is the first you’re hearing about it, you’re probably not invited. Talk to the people who are having the party if you’ve got beef with that. But I’ll be there.
Okay. I’m off to buy supplies.
See ya’ on Monday.
More soon. ~SC
