I’ll paint mine black.

I can’t believe it took this long to get around to Tom, but today’s song is “Chocolate Jesus” by the one and only Tom Waits. It is being brought to you today by Baby Laura and Amy the Amazing.

Yesterday was kind of a shit show.

The whole day was thrown off balance by my alarm not waking me up. I was out of step most of the day. By the time I got my groove back, it was bedtime.

I did get this handsome Daily Photo taken…

"Keep Their Heads Ringin"

“Keep Their Heads Ringin”

I had hoped that Ice Cube would’ve been in focus in the background, but you can’t have everything in life.

Believe me, if I had to exchange Ice Cube being in focus for this next bit of news, I’d gladly do it again in a heartbeat.

One of my favorite albums of all time, “Sharpen Your Teeth” by Ugly Casanova, has been out of print on vinyl since 2003 or something. I’ve been hunting a copy for ages and they are all around $300 give or take a hundred bucks. Yeah, so I’m not getting one of those. For those unfamiliar with Ugly Casanova, it was a side project of Isaac Brock (of Modest Mouse) back in the early 2000’s. It is one of my top ten albums.

I love it that much.

Anyway, I needed a little grounding yesterday so I looked them up on YouTube. Weirdly enough a lot of the official audio was uploaded three months ago. That’s weird. So I clicked on the full album and was enjoying it when I just happened to read the info under the video and learned that they reissued the vinyl back in October. Now with 4 bonus tracks!!! The bonus tracks were previously only released on ultra-limited edition 7-inch EPs.

My day just did a serious U-Turn in the span of about 30 seconds.

So, I ordered it. Duh.

If you’ve never heard it, feel free to check it out now including the 4 bonus tracks.

So, yeah. That was yesterday.

Today is going to be a better day.

Ugly Casanova told me so.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
