Into the Time Void Again.

For the first time.

Or so.

Today’s song is “Welcome Home (Sanatarium)” by Metallica. It is being brought to you today by Krahli.

Get ready for the Metallica run. There are two more songs of theirs in April. Because April is hard and it’s heavy, it’s dirty and mean.

Today’s photo is gonna kinda meta.

Yesterday was a wild day.

It was seemingly easy going, but in hindsight, things were pretty intense. I ran a lot of errands. I moved furniture. I dug tools out of a crowded garage.

I trimmed all 99 of the “taco” postcards. For real though. They saved me from my addiction to the crack cocaine in my nightmare.

I did a ridiculous amount of planning.

Planning for what?

Well, remember me saying I needed a vacation?

You gotta be careful what you wish for.

Apparently, I’m leaving Thursday for San Francisco for “work”. For the those of you who are lost in time and space, that’s tomorrow. I’m not telling you when I’m coming back. Partly because I don’t know. And partly because I don’t want you stealing my cats.

If you’re getting any ideas, know that a large chunk of my planning was based around making sure that Kingston has a face to attempt to crawl inside the entire time I’m gone. People will be working in shifts. Eazy will be fine surviving on his wits. Rudie will just be wherever Kingston is, only she’ll be on the floor jumping up and attacking his tail.

Another large chuck of my planning revolved around a little thing we like to refer to as the giant, daily, music-themed self portrait series involving props, costumes, models, and locations, also known as the Daily Photo. Yeah. I’ll be shooting on location. Which means that I have to take all of my gear with me.

I vowed to not half-ass this project. I’ve done a damn good job so far, if I do say so myself. I’m not about to drop the ball now. If I can help it. The problem will be making sure that I get enough of my props in early enough. And by early enough, I mean today. The not knowing when I’ll return makes that part incredibly difficult. But we shall make do.

I’m very glad I had planned the photoshoots so far in advance. Let’s just hope that Amazon keeps up their end of the bargain.

After all the fun planning stuff, I got all dressed up and headed out into the wild to do yesterday’s photoshoot.

Which went incredibly well…

"S.O.B."

“S.O.B.”

I’m getting my money’s worth out of that shirt. And people said I was crazy for buying a denim shirt. Who’s the crazy one now?

Twice in ten days. And plenty more opportunities to come.

Anyway.

Today holds a lot more planning in store for me. And loads of errands.

And a whole lotta this…

Tonight is family dinner.

Tomorrow, adventure.

See ya’ then.

More soon. ~SC
