Dirty Hands.

And a dirty mind.

I’d like to begin today by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Jitterbug. Be sure to wish her one as well.

Today’s song is “My Girls” by Animal Collective. It is being brought to you today by Prop Ninja.

Yesterday was spent organizing and inventorying all of the cuts and ornaments in my studio. Remember when I got the type and galley cabinets from Rise and Shine back in January? Well, I’m finally getting around to sorting through all of it.

I worked on it for nearly six hours. I got through about 2/3 of the galleys. I still have the rest of the galleys and three type cases worth of stuff to sort through. And then I get to figure out where I’m going to put it.

I took a break from sorting sometime around 2 and shot the Daily Photo…

"Lazaretto"

“Lazaretto”

I’d like to thank Teacher Sis and Lord Steel Bear for making those bullets holes happen for me. Also, that photo was a bitch to shoot. Funny thing about plexiglass is that it is very shiny. And shiny things reflect other things. It took some serious rigging on my part to get the plexi suspended in front of the camera at an angle where nothing reflected off of it. And then subsequently be four feet away from it.

Technically speaking, one of the most difficult shoots this year so far.

Today is Thorsday. His mighty thunder lulled me to sleep last night and aroused me from slumber this morning.

I must go make a sacrifice to him.

This afternoon from 2pm-4pm, if you’re free, Underground Ink is having their annual book party. I’ll be there. Possibly making paper hats.

Tonight is Marvel Girl’s last dinner before she returns to Japan next Thorsday. You should try to swing by the Rev. Dark Wombat’s around 7pm. Rumor has it we will be taking a family photo with her.

Okay. I’m off to lug heavy shit around.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
