Among you.

I’d like to begin today by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Danny Royale and Loud-N-Claire. Be sure to wish them happy ones as well.

Today’s theme is: Disguise.

Yesterday was nuts.

On one hand it was super busy and productive.

On the other it didn’t feel like it.

It got a little Twilight Zone toward the end there…

April 3

Today is a day of books.

And a day of presents.

And a day of eating this giant fucking German chocolate cake Big D got for me.

So, let’s talk about Brandon Graham.

Don’t know who he is? Don’t worry. Neither did I until a few days ago.

It all started when I bought the first two issues of Arclight the day I went up the hill for mine and J-Bird’s birthday eclipse dinner-and-a-movie thing.

After shopping for comics, I met up with Krahli for burgers and he gave me a copy of Prophet: Remission. I assume as a birthday present. Maybe he was just giving it to me because it’s amazing.

About four days ago, La Duchess sent me an article about how this comic anthology called Island was ending it’s run.

That’s when things started to happen in my brain.

All three of those things are Brandon Graham’s work.

Then, I read the two issues of Arclight that I bought. And it was one of those moments where the universe or the comic Jesus or whatever told me that I really needed to be reading more of Brandon Graham’s work.

And so should you.

Also, did you know that Rik Mayall was cast as Peeves the Poltergeist in the film adaption of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone? Yeah. Apparently they cut all the scenes, and subsequently Peeves altogether, from the film series. So, somewhere there are the scenes that they shot waiting to be seen by me.

Okay, there’s my ramble about things that aren’t work, workout, or my house.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
