Finding a Rag of Unknown Origin Hanging in the Hotel Shower.

And immediately putting it really close to your face.

Today’s theme is: Outdoors.

I’m starting to think this a conspiracy to make me suffer.

Like all things in my life.

There’s a mosquito that lives in my office. It only bites me on my ankles and toes. This is my life.

In the last few days, I drove 14 hours, attended a memorial for Marget, ate the worst continental breakfast of all time, and visited the Basilica St. Louis. I did a bunch of other stuff too, but that’s the big stuff.

My good friend David Sedaris kept me company during the drive. I think I’ve got an hour of “Theft By Finding” left.

If you’d like to see my photos from the Basilica, click here.

In St. Louis, Zaxxon and I shared a hotel room. Since the theme was portrait, and seeing as how I had missed the opportunity last time he was in town, I took his portrait…

Our hotel was in a pretty rough neighborhood. The front desk told us not to go out walking after dark.

On Thursday, Zaxxon and I went to see the St. Louis Cathedral. Marget had told me about it years and years ago, and I was only reminded of it recently by a new friend. It was fucking mind-blowing…

Then we went to Marget’s memorial.

Then I drove home. I got home late Thursday night and got up early Friday morning.

I went hard on Friday.

Two days of not working and I had plenty of catching up to do.

I did normal work. I negotiated a price on a new portrait for the hall of portraits. Clip Kid, Taco Planet and I (literally) picked up a hydraulic wood splitter from work. I rounded out the day having a conversation with Henry about whether or not I should put a second coat of paint on the guest bedroom/meditation room…

I ended up doing the second coat.

I’ll cut in the edges today or tomorrow.

We shall see how tired I am after this morning’s fun. Remember all that oak I couldn’t split with an axe last weekend? Remember me just saying that I picked up a wood splitter from work? You can probably do the math on that one.

But first, coffee.

See ya’ on Monday.

More soon. ~SC
