At getting your bee suit in the mail.

I haven’t been this excited since I got my tree identification book in the mail.

Yesterday kicked my ass.

I went hard for twelve hours straight.

As you could probably guess, I got some of my bee keeping gear in yesterday.

I also went out scouting locations to put my hives…

Monday, January 29

And I ate an apple. Obviously. It was a Pink Lady. They’re my favorite.

I also did a bunch of other stuff that is less exciting than my bees.

So we’ll just move on.

Today is Tuesday.

I’m going to start constructing one of my hives today. I’ll have three total this year.

I also need to figure out and practice using my smoker can. It’s how you mask pheromones so the bees won’t go on Red Alert.

Did you know that the pheromone that bees release when they feel threatened smells just like bananas?

Well it does.

So don’t ever eat bananas right before you check your hives. Just sayin’.

All right, I’m going to go drink some coffee and get to it.
