That’s Like the Aquaman of Revenge.

You need to be thinking along the lines of the Batman of revenge.

I’d like to begin this smorning by wishing a very Happy Birthday to the Smartian. Be sure to wish her one as well.

What a weekend.

On Saturday morning I went on a birthday run with Jitterbug. We decided that instead of getting a medal for participating in a half marathon, we’d rather just win a 5k.

Then I napped.

After I begrudgingly woke up from my nap, I headed to lunch with Word to Me, Teacher Sis, and Prince Jazzbo for an early Mother’s Day celebration.

Then I settled in to spend the night reading comics…

Saturday, May 12

On Sunday I took an effing rest day.

I slept for ten hours.

I ate canned cinnamon rolls that I made in the waffle iron.

I did laundry.

I cleaned my kitchen.

I didn’t run.

I even organized my comics. Which have spread to a third shelf…

Sunday, May 12

The bottom shelf is all boxes of single issues.

After that I got down to more reading.

I managed to finish four trade paperbacks that I had started and start on a fifth one.

It was a good weekend for comics.

I finished the second volume of Copra, the first volume of Shutter, volume zero of Howard the Duck, and the Joyners in 3D. And I started Saints: the Book of Blaise. I read the first issue of that ages ago, but finally got the trade of it for a dollar a month or so ago. I’ve only got seven more trades and the rest of the first omnibus of the Sandman left in my stack.

I can think about buying more after I get through all of those.

I’ve also got my backlog of good stuff that has come out over the last 20 years to work through digitally.

Needless to say, I’m not running out of stuff to read anytime soon.

But I’ve got a lot to do today before I get back to my chair.

It’s Monday.

The madness, and the running begins again today.

Oh goodie.

Friday can’t come soon enough.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
