Finding Boundaries.

Like how spicy is too spicy and how dry of humor is too dry.

I’d like to begin this morning by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Soda Pop. Be sure to wish him one as well.

And Happy Miniature Golf Day!

September 21 – Miniature Golf Day

I was gonna take the kiddos to play mini golf today, but it’s supposed to rain and they’re assholes.

So instead we are going up the hill to check out the new exhibit at Crystal Bridges and piddle around most of the day.

Unless their attitudes are shitty and then I’m making them come home and dig ditches in the rain.

Yesterday was a nap day.

That I only got to take advantage of for about 30 minutes.

The rest of my day was spent handling my business.

At lunch I made doctored salsa for Jitterbug to have with chips to accompany her bean burrito. She has recently decided that spicy food suits her and I’ve been doing subtle experimentations to try to find her upper level.

I found it.

Adding a quarter of a bottle of El Yucateco habanero hot sauce to a bowl of salsa makes it too hot for her to finish. But she did make it through most of it. Which is more than I could’ve done.

I love some heat, but flavor is key.

And then we tortured the kids with Monty Python and the Holy Grail. They were so bored. It was awesome.

It was so far over their heads.

Then we put those grumps to bed and worked on getting everything ready for today.

Now I get to go drink some coffee in peace for a little while before the brood wakes up.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
