A Childlike Sense of Wonder.

And a wicked sense of retribution.

These are just two of my favorite things about Jitterbug.

Yesterday afternoon we found ourselves without the kiddos.

So we bundled up and headed up to Crystal Bridges to see the North Forest Lights.

We went through the museum to see all the new stuff first.

We had plenty of time to look at stuff before out time to get into the NFL.

Didn’t see that initially.

Have you ever been up to the library at Crystal Bridges?

Us either.

So we went up there to check it out.

It’s amazing.

And really quiet.

Perfect for napping…

After the exhibits and the library, we left the museum to grab dinner before heading back to see the lights.

We got there a few minutes ahead of our designated time and it was lucky we were early.

Because due to a technical issue, the two time slots ahead of us were all still standing in line.

Which was a fuckload of people.

It took about half an hour before we managed to get in.

And then I forgot about how fucking cold it was. I forgot about how many loud idiots were surrounding us. I forgot about how many more steps I needed before the end of the day.

All of that went away and there was nothing but wonder and experience.

Holy. Shit.

It was badass.

If you haven’t been up to see the exhibit, you really owe it to yourself to go.

It’s only there until February 16, so get your ass in gear.

And take hand and toe warmers.

There are five main pieces. Be sure to experience all of them. Even if you have to wait in line for the Whispering Tree. Do it. You will regret it if you don’t.

That’s all I’m saying.

We got home late and defrosted.

Today is Monday.

Back to the grindstone.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
