Into an image.

Or at least I will be attempting to very soon.

The word for today is: Amble.

[ am-buhl ]
verb (used without object), am·bled, am·bling.
to go at a slow, easy pace; stroll; saunter:
He ambled around the town.
(of a horse) to go at a slow pace with the legs moving in lateral pairs and usually having a four-beat rhythm.
noun
an ambling gait.
a slow, easy walk or gentle pace.
a stroll.

Amble is the speed at which the children walk.

It is not the speed at which I walk.

Much to everyone’s chagrin.

They call it “Walmart walking” because it is the pace at which I navigate while in Walmart.

And they have to run to keep up.

Yesterday was a long day.

But I finished three books that I had been reading.

I am doing a reread of “Paper Girls” so I knocked out the first hardback book.

And I finally finished “A Promise Land” by Barack Obama.

Plus I reread “HEDRA” after reading “Planet Paradise”, by the same author (Jesse Lonergan), last week.

Up next on the menu are the second book of “Paper Girls”, “Eat a Peach” by David Chang, “Dirt” by Bill Buford, and a reread of the complete “Tokyo Ghost”.

I am also still working on “My Favorite Thing Is Monsters” and “The League of Regrettable Superheroes”.

Oh and “Junk” by Les Bohem.

Gotta finish that one.

The audiobook of that is read by John Waters and it’s amazing.

So many books.

That’s not counting the books that are on their way to me via the postal service.

Or the ones I’m getting for my birthday.

Mwhahahahaha…

I should probably go to work.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
