With the best laid plans.
The word of the day is: Grieve.
|[ greev ]|
verb (used without object), grieved, griev·ing.
to feel grief or great sorrow:
She has grieved over his death for nearly three years.
verb (used with object), grieved, griev·ing.
to distress mentally; cause to feel grief or sorrow:
It grieves me to see you so unhappy.
Archaic. to oppress or wrong.
Which a very appropriate word for today.
Because the vet’s office sent us a condolence card about Kingston and they took a little paw print from him before he went off to the great sleep.
I wasn’t ready for that.
Yesterday went by pretty quickly.
I had to keep myself extra busy to stay awake.
It worked pretty well, too.
Right up until I needed to deadlift a barrel that weighed three hundred pounds.
That didn’t go so well.
It went well enough because I couldn’t get a grip on it.
Thus preventing me from hurting myself.
So in that way, it was very good.
Not so good in the standing up of the barrel that needs to be standing up, though.
We got it upright in the end.
Also, I have so much reflective tape right now it’s not even funny.
Now to figure out how to print “Bad News, Kathy” on it.
Today is going to be more rain.
And more puttering.
See ya’ tomorrow.
More soon. ~SC
