Right in this little garage.

The word of the day is: Lanspresado.

According to a 1736 dictionary of thieves’ slang, which someone should start a petition to get republished en masse, a ‘lanspresado’ is: “He that comes into company with but two-pence in his pocket”.
Basically, those people who insist they’re skint so you have to buy them everything. A word that is undoubtedly needed in modern times where pint prices just keep rising.

I mean, technically, that’s MY sandwich.

Seeing as how I paid for it.

Sometimes you just have to “tax” the children when they get too shirty.

Taxing Halloween and Easter candy is the best.

My advice?

Always go for the Reese’s.

Hit ’em where it hurts.

Yesterday was a day that I just wasn’t feeling it.

Whatever “it” was.

I ran a bunch of errands in the morning, but then dragged myself through the rest of the day just fighting to stay awake.

I did pick my first two padlocks, though.

Like really picked them.

With lockpicks.

Not just by sliding a library card or pocket knife in around door latch.

Picking locks is like frying an egg.

The theory is really easy.

Anyone can do it.

But it takes hundreds and hundreds of tries to do it the way you like it everytime.

I made a chain of padlocks to practice on.

I got the two cheapest/shittiest padlocks off.

At the end of the day I put them back on the chain.

I’ll keep picking away at it (See what I did there?) until I cna get all five open in one go.

Then I’ll find more locks and do it all over again.

For as long as my attention holds, that is.

Today my normal crap got canceled and I have to go up the hill for work.

Tonight we don’t have baseball.

So we might try to catch the Levitt Amp concert thing downtown.

Or we might go to bed early.

That’s my wishful thinking sneaking in.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
