Most of them about trusses.

The word of the day is: Nary.

I helped Lord Steel Bear work on their pavilion patio thing from 8am until 4pm yesterday.

We were lucky enough to get a lot of cloud cover and breezes most of the day.

But the sun finally came out to stay around 3:45pm and I was in it enough, after a day of hard work, to get the wah wahs.

So we called it a day.

And it took everything I had not to go to bed at 6pm.

That heat just drains the energy right outta me.

I made sure to hydrate before I went over there.

I was at about a liter and a half of water in when I left the house.

By the time I came home again I had drank 2 liters of sports drink and another liter and a half of water.

I drank another liter of water with dinner.

And my pee finally started to clear up.

Then I felt it was safe to go to bed.

And so I did.

Then the power went out and the basement started to flood.

So I got back up and sorted that out.

When I finally made it back to bed I figured it would take me awhile to fall asleep since I’d missed my sleep window and I was all hot-n-sweaty and there was no air flow in the house since the power was still out.

I was incorrect.

Exhaustion kicked in and I was sawing logs according to Jitterbug.

That’s not to say I didn’t wake up a million times in the night, but I am grateful to not have been awake longer than I was.

Today is a rest day.

Whether anyone likes it or not.
