And knowing you’re helpless to stop it.

The word of the day is: Perpetrator.

[ pur-pi-trey-ter ]
noun
a person who perpetrates, or commits, an illegal, criminal, or evil act:
The perpetrators of this heinous crime must be found and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I read “Animal Farm” the other day.

For the first time in like a million years.

Junior High at least.

It’s funny how relevant that shit still is.

So I started reading “1984” yesterday.

Because if I’m going to do the damned thing, I might as do it all the way.

I’m sure I’ll circle back around to “Neuromancer” and “Fahrenheit 451” by way of more Vonnegut.

I’ll probably throw in some “Handmaid’s Tale” and “Man in the High Castle” for good measure.

It kinda goes with my theme of reading all of the Black Hammer books that came out.

That whole “the world is melting into a pile of soft-serve turd and there’s not a lot we can do about it except hope for the human race to go extinct so that the planet can get on with it” thing.

Maybe it’s my meds talking.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been watching this country/world tear itself in half over things that have no business being political.

It’s probably my meds.

Also what the fuck is up with everything coming in gummy form?

I’ve been taking probiotics in gummy form.

And it’s like a fever dream.

I’m over it.

Today I was going to hide under my desk and read comics all day, but life intervened and now I have to drive up the hill to charge a car for a client.

Right after chauffeur a dog around.

You know what I call that?

Job.

Security.

I’m going to go shotgun an iced coffee and get to work now.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
