If I Had a Band.

We’d be called ‘Lucious Malfoy and the Black Girls’.

You get it?

The Black girls being Narcissa, Andromeda, and Bellatrix.

And I’ve always thought his name was Lucious from having misread it the first time.

It really doesn’t matter what kind of band it was.

It doesn’t have to wizard themed free form jazz or anything.

Ahem.

The word of the day is: Sister.

Sister
[ sis-ter ]
noun
a female offspring having both parents in common with another offspring; female sibling.
Also called half sister. a female offspring having only one parent in common with another offspring.
stepsister.
a female friend or protector regarded as a sister.
adjective
being or considered a sister; related by or as if by sisterhood:
sister ships.
having a close relationship with another because of shared interests, problems, or the like:
We correspond with school children in our sister city.

That’s Teacher Sis.

She is a comember of my sib.

Yesterday continued this week’s trend of flying by very quickly.

I am working out the final kinks in the camping trip.

Kinks like the whole “this is when it is happening” part.

I have a date in mind.

Hopefully it’ll work for everybody else.

Or not.

Either way I’m going to the coddamn woods for 72 hours.

No phones.

No innernet.

Just a lot of fire and soup and coffee.

Maybe some hiking.

Maybe some reading.

Maybe some card playing.

But mostly recharging my fucking batteries.

Come hell or high water.

Seriously though.

If I had to sit inside a tent for three days because it’s torrentially raining, I will.

It’d still be a break from the normal grind.

And that is precisely what my brain needs.

The next few months are going to be hectic as fuck.

At work and at home.

And then it’ll be the holidays on top of all that.

But I have a long way to go before camping.

And a lot of shit that needs doing.

I’m gonna get to work on it.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
