And always end up grabbing your hand.

The word of the day is: Syzygy.

Syzygy
[ siz-i-jee ]
noun, plural syz·y·gies.
Astronomy. an alignment of three celestial objects, as the sun, the earth, and either the moon or a planet:
Syzygy in the sun-earth-moon system occurs at the time of full moon and new moon.
Classical Prosody. a group or combination of two feet, sometimes restricted to a combination of two feet of different kinds.
any two related things, either alike or opposite.

Yesterday was a strange day.

Well strange in that it hasn’t happened like it did in a very long time.

We had nothing to do.

No ballgames.

No birthday parties.

No practices.

Not a damn thing.

I sat around in my soft pants until noon.

At which point I put real pants on and headed off to spend the whole afternoon driving around with the Rev. Dark Wombat and Johnny Goodtime YGB.

Reliving old times and catching up on new times.

During our hangout time I acknowledged something I had never really noticed before.

Every time I have a day like that, sort of a much needed trip down memory lane, they always end with a perfect golden hour.

The sun hits your face and the trees and everything is right in the world again.

A golden afternoon, if you will.

My memoir will definitely have a chapter on golden afternoons.

I’ll describe the whole concept more in depth than I did in this post.

Just what you’ve always wanted.

Me to be more verbose.

Your dreams come true.

Another interesting thing happened while we were driving around.

I had my window down about an inch and a half.

We were doing like 30mph and a bee flew into the car through my window, landed inside my right ear, and stung the shit out of me.

In my ear.

What the fuck?

Also, I felt bad for killing the bee.

Because priorities.

Today is Sunday.

We don’t have much on the books.

I need to put the plastic up in the gym to trap the warmth.

I also need to start a fire.

The goddess and I need a catch up session.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
