Today’s them is: variety.

That’s the variety of worry dolls that life in a plastic bag on my desk.

I heard the other day that one of them taken daily would cure all your worries and stress.

Probably in that severe blockage in your colon leading to an excruciating death kinda way.

This week is kicking my ass.

Both physically and mentally.

It’s a good thing it isn’t my busy day.

(maniacal laughter turns slowly to sobs)

I seriously need a vacation.

Maybe they need someone to change lightbulbs at the moonbase.

I can just float around for a few days in the totally silent vacuum of space.

In space they can’t hear you scream.

But I can’t hear you do anything either.

Which is ideal.

Makes me think of Mooncop by Tom Gauld.

I haven’t read nearly enough of his books.

(Don’t think about all the books you haven’t read yet. It will just overwhelm you and you’re already wishing you were living on a moonbase.)

Perhaps my meds have stopped working.

And this is all just mental health stuff talking.

Hmm.

I should message my doc about that.

That’s a good call.

(Still not a great idea to think about the unread books, though.)
