No, You’ll Never Live Down the Webphone Thing.

I don’t know why it took me so long to actually Google search “webphone”, but I just did and it is real. I mean real in that “voice over innernet protocol” way. Not nearly as cool as a phone made of webs or an old-school desk phone that allows you to talk on the innernet or any of the other variations we tried to think of to explain what a “webphone” was. Sometimes, Google searching ruins the dream.

Last night I was standing in the kitchen eating cheesecake and listening to NPR, because the sound of my own chewing could make me scoop out my own eyes with my own cheesecake spork. Anyway, I was standing listening to the radio and I realized that if someone came on the radio and was like “The Martians are here!” I’d probably shit my pants. I mean it’s NPR, I’d have to believe it. I can’t believe that Orson Welles got away with that shit. Of course doing that nowadays would involve coordinating a crap load of television stations, radio stations, and the innernet. When I told Pancake Land what I was thinking about, she said that she would immediately check the innernet. If I were to look for a website that backed up NPR, it would probably have to be the BBC. They actually report on more of our stuff than we do. Anyway, if the Beeb said we were under attack, I’d recommence shitting my pants. At some point I’d need to finish eating my cheesecake, though. If the entire human race was about to be turned into fertilizer by giant subterranean Martian robots, you had better bet your ass that I am finishing my piece of cheesecake. I mean, it was made with Snickers bars.

Apparently Ikea has released a new baking cookbook called Homemade is Best (Hembakat är Bäst) and the photo work for the recipes is fantastic. Check it out:

Pretty snazzy, huh? For more info, but not much, click here.

Okey dokey, then. I’ve got to go to class. After class today, I start working in the Letterpress shop. My first day of my third job! Exciting isn’t it? Wish me luck. More soon. ~SC
