Here is my to do list before I die. In no particular order. Tasks in red have been accomplished.

Go skydiving. August 1, 2010

Shake Martha Stewart’s Hand.

Put flowers on Irma Rombauer’s grave. September 7, 2016

Eat ramen in Japan. March 28, 2012

Learn to bake baguettes from scratch.

Be a Quickfire judge on Top Chef.

Photograph myself on top of the Eiffel Tower.

Get one undisturbed night’s sleep.

Meet Snoop Doggy Dogg.

Grow my own herbs and spices.

Graduate from college. May 11, 2013

Eat risotto in Italy.

Photograph the Ghost Island, Hashima.

See the Great Wall.

Go fishing. With dynamite.

See Julia Child’s Kitchen, on display in D.C. at the National Museum of American History. August 21, 2010.

Meet Thomas Keller. (I would say shake his hand, but I would probably be frozen in awe.)

Eat the “Chef’s Tasting Menu” at the French Laundry.

Go to the track and bet on the under dog (or dark horse). February 4, 2012

Travel all the way to Seattle for a cup of coffee. August 31, 2016

Ride in a submarine.

Experience an earthquake. April 1, 2012

Buy used panties out of a vending machine. April 2, 2012

Go on a date with Hannah Simone.

Visit the Redwoods. April 23, 2016

Fire a machine gun.

Go deep sea fishing.

Un-boil an egg.

Visit the Hayden Planetarium. October 15, 2016

See either the Northern or Southern lights.

See an English football game. (Preferably WBA play at the Hawthornes.)

Eat a Bald Eagle’s egg.

Smoke Opium.

Learn to weld.

See the Grand Canyon. August 24, 2016

See Mt. Rushmore. September 4, 2016

See the St. Louis Arch. September 7, 2016

Visit the Claes Oldenberg Shuttlecocks at the Nelson-Atkins Museum. September 6, 2016
