Autumn Attic.

It’s when leaves fall into the roof space of your house without your help.

Sometimes you make season puns and sometimes you accidentally find yourself watching a camgirl talk about Dr. Who. With her clothes on.

Yeah, which was worse is up for debate.

Either way, it was like a fever dream.

Yesterday turned out way more awesome than I expected it to. I finally ordered a letterpress from a friend of mine. He is going to bring it to me the next time he comes to the Fort, which is awesome. And it was way cheaper than the presses I had been looking at, so I might splurge and get myself a presnent from here. More than likely, I’ll get the calendar font. Because who doesn’t love a handmade calendar?

I also spent a good amount of time falling down various letterpress rabbit holes. Some of the things I found were good and some looked like this:

Not a letterpress

Just for the record, that’s not a letterpress.

I also spent a good chunk of yesterday prepping my student to spread his wings and leave the nest. He’s about to get a taste of what being a grown-up is all about. And that taste is called “bills”. Yes, the little boy that I started tutoring years ago, is getting an apartment, has to get a job, and pay his own bills. He’ll soon realize that life is not all he thought it was going to be. And oh so much more. Like eating chocolate cake whenever you want while only wearing Spider-man undies and listening to thrash metal turned up to 11. Grown-up.

You gotta be careful, though. Or else you’ll wind up buying some camgirl’s used panties on the Innernet.

The best part of helping him get his apartment was the maintenance guy insinuating that we might be “living together” in this one bedroom apartment. My student didn’t catch it. I did. I mentioned it to him later and laughed a lot at his reaction. I pointed out that it was an easier thing to let the dude believe it rather than trying to explain that I am his butler.

Speaking of being the butler, I should probably go be the responsible adult and do a lot of push-ups. So, that I can lift Rachel Dawes up and put her in the back of my car to drive her home after Batman gives her the antidote to the Scarecrow’s fear toxin.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC

So, does your student now have to pay you for butling or are you gonna do it pro bono?
