Printing Money.

I thought about it, but it was too costly.

Everytime I watch the Venture Bros. I end up talking like Brock Samson (both out loud and in my head) for at least 3 hours afterward. I’m still doing it.

Right now.

It is Monday. My weekend was a wash of roller derby, diplomacy rolls and survival checks, taking photographs, housework, button making, not selling anything, and trying to get some peace and quiet in order to get some reading done.

I was more successful at some of those things than others.

The important thing is that I still haven’t managed to buy my letterpress. Which is bumming me out. I did spend a considerable amount of time falling down the Craigslist/eBay rabbit hole of hunting type. Mostly, but not limited to, wood type. Also researching people who make wood type. What did I find out? There are a couple of companies that still do it. And their products are not cheap. Either in quality or price.

Note to self: Buy a lotto ticket.

This is Monday isn’t it?

Ugh.

This week I will be helping my student leave the nest. And helping my other students to not fail Math or Science.

I will also be trying to buy a letterpress. But not wood type. Because I don’t have the money for that.

I might look into carving out type in linoleum. That way I can carve only what I need. I’m also going to reach out to my printer friends and see about polymer plate making.

sigh.

I really hate the research phase.

I enjoy the printing phase so much better. I can’t wait to actually start using my studio.

Speaking of which, I should probably pay my rent for that.

So much to do, so little time.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
